I couldn't resist this instant ARC download。 I mean， look at that cover。This features lots of cat photos， and can be read in about 10-15 minutes。 It delivers exactly what the title promises: Love Poems from a cat's perspective。 I expected something whimsical and humorous yet heartwarming—but thought that it fell short on the latter。 Almost every poem is tongue-in-cheek （fine） and written from the perspective of a stereotypical aloof cat （not fine; it's a cliché I'm quite over， and certainly not I couldn't resist this instant ARC download。 I mean， look at that cover。This features lots of cat photos， and can be read in about 10-15 minutes。 It delivers exactly what the title promises: Love Poems from a cat's perspective。 I expected something whimsical and humorous yet heartwarming—but thought that it fell short on the latter。 Almost every poem is tongue-in-cheek （fine） and written from the perspective of a stereotypical aloof cat （not fine; it's a cliché I'm quite over， and certainly not my experience）。 Here's one to give you an idea of what they are like: Calling I've been listening to youWandering around the houseCalling out my nameFor so longI forgot why I was hiding in the first placeBut it's great to be wantedAnd even better if I'm not found —————Note: I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review。 。。。more
